Worship & Gatherings
We offer in-person worship each Sunday at 10A. For those who are unable to attend, we stream our service live. You can also view past services.

Sunday School is open to all children in Kindergarten and up from September through May. Children attend the first part of worship with their families and then are dismissed to Sunday School. For the youngest children, the Nursery is always open. (The worship service is live-streamed into the Nursery.)

Our church is fully handicap-accessible with a ramp entrance and restrooms to accommodate all visitors.
MUSIC
MINISTRY
For those who are musically inclined (regardless of ability or experience), Shepherd of the Valley has both an Adult Choir and a Signing Choir for children and adults. We are blessed to have Cathy Clasper-Torch as our Choir Accompanist, playing live, working with our choir, and recording hymns, introits, and other special music. Our choir performs live most Sundays and during holy days throughout the year. The Signing Choir is active from September through May.
STUDY&
FELLOWSHIP
Shepherd of the Valley has a number of opportunities for study and fellowship. All people are welcome to join us! While some of our groups meet throughout the year, others take the summer off. Please check the calendar for the most up-to-date schedule.
Shepherd of the valley women
The Shepherd of the Valley Women's group seeks to connect and nurture women through spiritual growth, leadership development, creative fellowship, and education so that they can inspire, influence and impact local and global communities. The group meets on the third Thursday of the month.
Men’s Fellowship Breakfast
All men are invited to join us for warm fellowship, guided conversation and good food every other Friday at the Phenix Square Restaurant in West Warwick. The group discusses current events to shared readings in the context of the challenges of men of faith in this complex world.
Wednesday Wisdom Seekers
The Wednesday Wisdom Seekers meet throughout the year each Wednesday (currently via Zoom) to do an in-depth study on a topic. Currently the group is delving into the History of Christianity in the Reformation Era. This explores the minds of those who supported the Reformation and those who resisted it, covering Roman Catholicism, Protestantism, and “Radical” Protestantism. No prior study experience needed to join!
Women in Spiritual Harmony
The Women in Spiritual Harmony (WISH) group holds hybrid meetings (in-person and via Zoom) on Wednesday mornings for study and fellowship. The group tackles different topics throughout the year and engages in contemplation and lively discussion. All women are invited to join the group.
Anti-Racism Group
Shepherd of the Valley's Anti-Racism Group meets on the first and third Sunday each month to give people the opportunity to examine their own internalized racism in addition to societal systemic racism. Through readings and discussion participants explore how they can play a more active role in the fight against racism.
Knitting Ministry
Compassion and the love of knitting/crocheting have been combined into a prayerful ministry and spiritual practice which reaches out to those in need of comfort and solace, as well as in celebration and joy. Many blessings are prayed into every stitch. Whether you are an experienced knitter or would like to learn, we have a place for you. The group meets monthly on the second Tuesday of the month.
Family Fun Days
This monthly gathering for families gives us a time to connect and re energize in a fun kid-friendly setting. Activities change each month, so please check the calendar to see what is coming up.
Youth Group
Geared towards the teenage crowd, this group meets once a month for spiritual connection and discovery. Whether the group participates in a community service project or heads out to a special activity, it’s a chance to get together with your peers. The Youth Group is open to all who are interested in joining. Please check the calendar for upcoming events.
